I finished the 90 days of workout, and boy did I feel great about myself! I was fitter, leaner, had lost a lot of weight, had dealt with my back problems, felt much stronger, and was probably in the best physical shape I had ever been in throughout my entire life.

Just as I was beginning to rest on my laurels, however, I ran into the Insanity Workout DVD by Beachbody, and boy was I in for a surprise. If I thought that the P90X workout was hard, the day after I first tried the Insanity Work Out I had a hard time getting out of bed. I am still only a few weeks into the workout, but the change that I have seen in my body has been amazing, and I wanted to share the amazing things about the Insanity Workout DVD with everyone!

Insanity Workout DVD Features

This workout program is made to be a 60 day one, and it pushes you to your limit all 7 days of the week – 6 at least. The DVD set comes with a nutrition guide to help you eat the right foods during the workout program, along with a calendar to help you keep track of the progress you make. The personal trainer – Shaun T – basically pushes you to your limit every single workout, and you will find that you will never get a moment’s rest from the anerobic and aerobic exercises designed to make you work like never before.

Insanity Work Out Details

So, let’s take a look at some of the workouts that you will do:

You start out with a fitness test that is half an hour long, and this will help you to gauge what you can do.

The Plyo/Cardio Circuit helps you to burn all kinds of fat, using plyo exercises mixed with cardio.

The Pure Cardio and Abs workout forces you to push yourself to the limit of your endurance, both for your heart and lungs as well as your ab muscles.

The Cardio Power and Resistance workout helps you to define the lean muscles of your upper body, gives you strength, and makes you fit.

The Cardio Abs section focuses on your core and abs, punctuated of course by explosive intervals of hardcore cardio.

Max Cardio Conditioning and Abs helps you to test the upper limits of your cardio strength, and pushes your abs as well.

The Max Interval Plyo works your legs like they have never been worked before, and builds amazing strength.

The Max Interval Circuit is the most intense workout you will have ever done!

Core Cardio and Balance is like a break between Month 1 and 2, but don’t expect them to take it easy.

This workout definitely shattered my notion that I was fit, and I found myself pushed to the absolute limit of my endurance. And I’m only in the first month!

Insanity Workout DVD Pros

There are many good things that I am finding with the program, and many of the people that bought it on Amazon have a lot to say as well:

It burns fat and gets you in shape like no other workout can!

The exercises change up very often, thus ensuring that your muscles are confused and that you never get bored with the workouts.

Shaun T works well with you, keeps you motivated, and helps you keep the best form possible with each exercise.

You will focus on all the most important muscles in your body, particularly your abs, your legs, your upper body, and your heart.

Your core will come out of this program stronger than you could ever have thought possible, which means you will be less likely to succumb to back problems.

The workout plan goes well with the diet plan and the other tools provided.

As you can see, there is a lot of good!

Insanity Work Out Cons

There were a few cons noted by people who tried the workout:

There is a greater risk of injury with this workout if you don’t do the exercises properly.

If you haven’t been working out and aren’t in good shape, you may not want to try this incredibly intense exercise program. You may not be able to keep up!

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for a workout that will take you from good condition to the best condition of your life, this is it! The Insanity Workout DVD will help you to build muscle and get in excellent shape, but don’t expect it to be easy. This program lives up to its name, and it pays homage to the powerful adage “No pain, no gain.” For those looking to get fit and ripped, there is no better program. Amazon seems to be the best place to buy Shaun’s Insanity Workout and at a great price

Another good Idea if your thinking of using the insanity workout program will be obtaining a good dumbbell set I would highly recommend the bowflex selecttech 552 set of dumbbells or if your looking for heavier weights you can opt for the bowflex selecttech 1090 dumbbell set.
